Repeat Prescriptions
Patients on long-term medication may request repeat prescriptions by ticking the items required using the computerised prescription counterfoil form. If you have mislaid this form then medication may also be requested using a blank sheet of paper but in this instance you must ensure that you quote your full name, date of birth, address and precise details of all medication required. We do not accept requests for prescriptions over the telephone for safety reasons
Please allow two working days for your prescription to be processed and signed ready for collection.
Should you find it difficult to bring your request form to the surgery there are various ways in which we can help.
You can post your prescription request to us and, if you let us have a stamped addressed envelope, we will post the prescription back to you. Please allow up to 1 week for the prescription to reach you.
Alternatively, several of the local pharmacies offer a collection service, whereby they will collect your prescription from us and dispense your medication ready for you to collect from the pharmacy. Some pharmacies will also accept your request slip ready for them to bring to the surgery. Please speak to pharmacists direct for more information.
You may now order your repeat prescription from this website.
This facility is only available if you have existing repeat medication, ie items listed on the right hand side of your prescription sheet. For information on how to obtain repeat medication by this method please click here.
Please don’t leave it too late to put in a repeat medication request. The doctor may decide that he/she needs to see you before issuing a repeat prescription.
